Claude Desktop is Anthropic’s desktop application for chatting with Claude. You can connect it to Kavio’s MCP server to manage your social media scheduling through conversation.

Setup

Open the Connectors settings

In Claude Desktop, go to Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector.

Add the Kavio server URL

Paste the server URL:
Leave the Advanced settings (Client ID / Client Secret) empty — Kavio supports Dynamic Client Registration, so Claude Desktop registers itself automatically.

Sign in through your browser

Claude Desktop opens a browser window to Kavio asking you to sign in and authorize. Click Allow and return to Claude Desktop — the connector flips to Connected.

Verify the connection

Start a new conversation and ask Claude to interact with your Kavio account:
Claude will use the Kavio tools to fetch your posts.
Claude Desktop’s connector runs from Anthropic’s cloud, not from your machine, so the hosted endpoint https://app.getkavio.app/mcp/kavio is already reachable.
