Windsurf

Windsurf is an AI-powered editor with Cascade, a deep context-aware AI assistant. You can connect it to Kavio’s MCP server to manage your social media scheduling.

Prerequisites

Windsurf editor installed
A Kavio account with an active trial or subscription (no card required to start)

Setup

Open the MCP configuration file

Edit ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json:

No Authorization header — Windsurf discovers OAuth from the URL.

Reload Windsurf

Reload the window so Windsurf picks up the new configuration.

The first time Cascade calls a Kavio tool, Windsurf opens a browser window for the Kavio sign-in. Approve the request and Cascade continues automatically.

Verify the connection

Open Cascade and ask:

List all my Kavio posts

Bearer token fallback

If your environment blocks the OAuth callback, use a Personal Access Token instead:

Create the key from Settings > API Keys on the Kavio dashboard.
